श्रीसद्गुरुरुवाच
एवं प्रसारितकरां बाष्पाकुलविलोचनाम् |
बहुधा प्रलपन्तीञ्च नामदेवो ददर्श ताम् ||
सान्त्वयन् गृहमानीय नामदेवो महामनाः |
पुत्रीभावेन वात्सल्यात् पोषयामास वै जनाम् ||
अचिरेणैव कालेन समुपस्थितयौवना |
जनापि विट्ठले तस्मिन् प्रेमभावञ्चकार सा ||
वक्षः स्थलं विशालञ्च प्रसन्नं वदनाम्बुजम् |
मुहुस्तस्य विलोक्यैषा चकमे पुरुषोत्तमम् ||
विट्ठलोपि च तां दृष्ट्वा जनां सर्वाङ्गसुन्दरीम् |
प्रेमभावेन संयुक्तामस्वस्थहृदयोsभवत् ||

Shri Namadeva saw that girl Janabai standing there, hands stretched out and crying. The generous Namadeva brought her home and took care of her as his own daughter. Soon she reached the threshold of youth and started developing deep love for Panduranga. Often looking at Shri Panduranga’s handsome face and broad chest, she was attracted to Him. Lord Panduranga too was attracted to this beautiful and loving girl who had deep love for Him.
