Mahatma Tulasidas had constructed a big math on the bank of river Ganga in Kashi. He was honoring the sadhus daily, making them assemble in the math. Daily, thousands of exalted personalities used to come and stay there chanting the Taraka Mantra, the Divine Name of Shri Rama. Many rich men devotedly extended help in cash and kind to carry on the offering of food to the sadhus in the math. Revelling in the mercy of Shri Rama, Tulasidasa, the self renounced, was engaged in the chanting of Rama Nama, free of all worldly attachments and responsibilities.
