The most fortunate Namadeva looked like a lunatic as he was immersed in the dhyana of Shri Vitthala, was stricken with love for Him and had given up all worldly and Vedic codes of conduct. LASt times he would roll on the dust in front of the sanctum of Lord Panduranga shedding tears of love. At other times, in great ecstasy, he would dance. At times, he would sing in praise of Him very melodiously. His mother used to bring home Namadeva who was quite oblivious of the family. She used to console him in many ways. Yet Namadeva used to quit the home, reach the sanctum of Lord Vitthala and cry and groan like a mad man. As he could not bear the repeated efforts of his relatives to bring him home, he reached the bank of the river Chandrabhaga and engaged in Krishna-dhyana. His good natured wife Rajayee led to visit him daily and feed him on the bank of the river.

Shri Sadguru said

The immortal, Supreme Being, who is the embodiment of truth, wisdom, and bliss is found enveloping everything and everyone, from a worm to Lord Brahma, and spread everywhere. Hence we should realize that only the immortal Lord Vasudeva is present everywhere, give up all differences and worship Him with true love. The vaishnavas have equanimity of mind and hence they treat a brahmana who is an exponent of the Vedas, one who eats the flesh of a dog, even a dog, a rich one and a poor alike. They are able to see that there is no distinction between themselves and the Parameshwara, who is the soul of everything and is present everywhere. Hence they attain unaltered peace of mind. Discrimination between different living beings will lead to the bondage of earthly life. Equanimity and the disposition to treat all equally, will lead one to salvation. It is impossible to develop this equanimity in the absence of Krishna-dhyana.

Namadeva was greatly delighted to see Lord Shri Panduranga, Muralidhara, the enchanter of the whole universe, the lotus-eyed, the Purushottama, the Shyamasundara, the one clad in gorgeous yellow silk, wearing exquisite ornaments, adorned with a bewitching smile on His countenance and having the Insignia of Shri on His chest. Namadeva gave Him the milk with untold affection. Lord Panduranga, the benefactor of the devotees, drank that sweet milk offered by His bhakta with great love, though He himself is the Lord of the Ocean of milk. Lord Madhava took that devotee on his lap, fondled him and experienced great satisfaction that is born out of paternal affection. The moment the Lord vanished, the child was enveloped with great sorrow due to separation. He ran to his mother and described all that had happened due to the mercy of Shri Panduranga.

He gave a holy bath to Lord Panduranga, clothed Him and decorated Him with ornaments and sandal paste with great devotion. Then, closing the doors, he offered Him the holy incense and light and finally took the cup of milk in his hand and with great love offered it to Him. As lord Achyuta was in the Archavatara form, He did not drink the milk. The innocent boy Namadeva became sad and started shedding tears.

The root cause of the universe and all creation is Lord Sarveshwara (the God of Gods). Without Him how can the universe come to exist on its own? The atheists want to see things face to face to accept the reality of their existence. But Bhagavan Shri Hari never gives His darshan to those who do not have firm faith in Him. Though the human body, wife, children, wealth etc. are perishable, people have a lot of faith in them. But they refuse to have the same faith in Lord Hari, the Immortal. But, the great bhagavatas, who are the devotees of Lord Shri Hari, do not entertain faith in this universe which is the fountain-head of sorrow, desire and fears and which is destroyed by time. Bhagavan Shri Krishna readily accepts even any one of these, a leaf, a flower, or a fruit, when it is offered to Him with staunch faith and unaltered devotion.

Singing in praise of Lord Panduranga, hearing His glory, meditating on Him always, worshipping Him, visiting the temple and having His darshan are the stepping stones to moksha. Only that intelligent man who has unflinching devotion to Lord Shri Vitthala, the Supreme Person, becomes wise and will be redeemed of earthly bonds. One who has got good deeds to his credit in the previous births can attain divine knowledge that destroys the earthly sorrows, with the help of his devotion to Lord Hari and unfaltering renunciation. With that knowledge and wisdom, he destroys all evils of the earthly life and with the grace of Lord Shri Panduranga, attains multi. Hence on any account, you do take refuge in Lord Shri Panduranga, the unbounded ocean of mercy, and get rid of all earthly bonds.

What is the difference between such imperfect yogis and the lazy ones who spend their lives attracting people displaying cheap tricks? By repeated chanting of the Divine Name of Lord Hari, one attains all Sindhis. When Shri Bhagavan, the consort of Goddess Shridevi, and the Lord of the world, is pleased, what remains an impossibility on this earth? The pious-minded vaishnavas hate all such yogic achievements. Such worldly people deceive the ignorant laymen in such a stealthy way. The eight-fold yoga also has only the darshan of Lord Shri Hari as its ultimate goal. Not realizing this, the foolish take delight in meagre achievements.
